SJNY Giving Day FAQs

What is Giving Day?

Many of the programs and projects that make our campuses and university so vibrant, caring and different are started by our students and our dedicated faculty. And they come to life because of the generosity of our supporters. Giving Day is a one-day, online celebration of philanthropy. When we make SJNY a priority, great things happen. One family, one university, one day to make a difference.

When is Giving Day in 2025?

This year’s Giving Day is Wednesday, April 9, 2025. Join us early or make your gift late - all donations throughout the day will be counted towards our 7th annual festivities.

How can I help spread the word about SJNY Giving Day?

We need you to help spread the word! Share the message with your friends, family and SJNY network using our social media posts and emails! The more people talking and posting (especially when you make your own post on your accounts!) really helps increase the momentum.

Why should I participate in Giving Day?

Giving Day is all about the shared power of many people making donations of every size - $5 to $100. Each year, we are able to support numerous student and faculty-led projects because of the collective impact of our SJNY community together. Each donation matters and makes all the difference. Plus, you get to choose exactly where your donation will be applied. You’re in charge - you are the power behind Giving Day!
